If you’ve been on social media recently, there’s a good chance you’ve seen different variations of the Savage Challenge. Now, two talented Christians creatives are putting a different spin on the viral social media trends.
Kirk Franklin, gospel music executive, artist, songwriter and composer, remixed the beat for the “Savage” song by Houston, Texas rapper Megan Thee Stallion, to honor the women in his family on Mother’s Day.
Rapper Lathan Warlick who hails from Tennessee is known for remixing popular songs on his social media accounts. When approaching “Savage,” he took a different approach with his effortless flow.
Lathan reminds us that the word savage can have a negative connotation and that we are worthy of being more than savages in the eyes of Jesus.
