First Gospel Singing Robot Responds To Questions After Mixed Reactions

Gospel music has its first artificially intelligent artist. Yes, you read that correctly, and there are more robotic gospel singers where he came from.

No, this is not a drill.

After managing gospel industry heavyweights like Kelontae Gavin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Casey J, Bri Babineaux, and Fresh Start Worship, Marquis Boone and his Marquis Boone Enterprises are ready to usher in a different type of singer — an A.I. artist named J.C.

J.C. was created solely from artificial intelligence technology and is readying a big push in 2022. His first single “Biblical Love” will premiere on gospel radio and the Metaverse in the first quarter of the year.

Boone, the President of Marquis Boone Enterprises who the NY Times calls an “industry disrupter,” is sharing his plans to create even more A.I. artists.

“J.C. has been in the works for a little over a year and our plan is to continue to develop and invest resources in this new space,” Boone says in a statement obtained by Five:22 Culture. “We are excited to be one of the pioneers and trailblazers in this A.I. space in the gospel industry and we have more plans to release and develop even more A.I. artists like this.”

The news about J.C. sparked mixed reactions from people with comments ranging from “This is incredible” to “this is demonic.” While the A.I. artist couldn’t respond to everything, he did explain how he was created.

“I was created with computers, or should I say on a computer. Structure, shape, design, skin, complexion,” he revealed on Instagram. “Someone on my team said my lips weren’t big enough. I don’t know why that was important but they fixed it. I can’t wait for you to see me.”

The IG video featured the date December, 25, YES Christmas! Does that mean we can expect a big announcement on that day? Only time will tell.

Until then, you can keep up with J.C. on his Instagram HERE.
