Rudy Currence spent years creating music for people in both the Christian and mainstream music industries like Lecrae, Karen Clark Sheard, Quincy Jones, David Banner, Mya and Ray J. Now, he’s  releasing an anthem to remind people that they have purpose in the kingdom of God.

While Currence has used his voice to create both R&B cuts and gospel singles like “Testimony” in 2017, his new song “I Belong Here” is a strong and straightforward declaration that he hopes can reach people who may be struggling.

“I Belong Here is definitely more musically straightforward than people are used to from me”, Currence explains in a statement sent to Five:22 Culture. “..I intended it as a sincere declaration of commitment to the body of Christ – which is even more relevant now with millions of people feeling isolated and mourning loved ones.”

With so much going on in the world, the Grammy and Dove award winning singer-songwriter and producer hopes his new song can give people hope.

“I believe ‘I Belong Here’ is a song of faith needed for these trying times and a soundtrack of hope that every believer can relate to,” Currence says.
